ALCA provides an environment where children on the autism spectrum can develop their potential; academically, emotionally, socially, communicatively, and physically. Our goal is for each student to gain functional independence using evidence-based practices and methods based on individual needs. It is our belief that addressing these characteristics through a child-centered team approach following a therapeutic, holistic, interdisciplinary model – with emphasis on generalization of skills to home and the community – provides the best practice for success.

Each child deserves a place to learn within a supportive environment where they can develop their full potential and thrive. Although children on the autism spectrum are so amazingly unique, they all share several characteristics:  sensory integration dysfunction, an impaired communication system, and a lack of social awareness including forming peer relationships.
