Who We Are
The goal of ALCA is to teach our students the skills necessary to achieve functional independence. We provide an environment where children on the autism spectrum can develop their potential academically, emotionally, socially, communicatively, and physically.
It is our belief that addressing these characteristics through a child-centered team approach following a therapeutic, holistic, interdisciplinary model – with emphasis on generalization of skills to home and the community – provides the best practice for success.

Testimonials
“We are thankful for the dedicated staff at ALCA. When Brian began at ALCA, he had minimal communication skills. Without communication, he was unable to express himself and would get so frustrated. Now, 12 years later, even though he’s non-verbal, he is constantly talking to us using his device that ALCA taught him to use. His whole world has changed thanks to ALCA!”
“We are thankful for the ALCA staff for a million reasons but here is one…they see Claudia for the amazing person she is. Oftentimes, Claudia is underestimated by others because of her atypical behaviors. But the ALCA staff doesn’t judge her or think less of her. Instead, they treat her with respect, they celebrate all the wonderful things she is made of and are able to reach her full potential as a student and amazing human being.”
“I am thankful for the dedication, hard work, and love that our staff puts in daily to create the best programming that we can provide for our students. I am thankful to have a “front-row seat” to see our students meet their goals and to get to see their beautiful smiles as they do it. I am thankful for the trust that our parents give our staff to work with their child and their willingness to share information with the ALCA team to allow us to create the best possible programming for their child.”
