Dear Community Members, Supporters, and Friends of ALCA,
After an incredible sixteen-year journey with the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism, I am humbled to accept the role of Executive Director. It means so much to me that the Board of Directors has entrusted me with this responsibility.
Initially, co-founders Dorie and Kelly asked me to serve on the Board of Directors. Being a business owner at the time and a mother of a child with autism, I saw this as a wonderful way to give back to a community that was near and dear to my heart. Fast forward several years and I was hired as a full-time employee of ALCA. Over the next 11 years, I held positions of HR manager, Finance Manager, Director of Operations, and most recently Interim Executive Director. I believe my history and intricate knowledge of ALCA will support a smooth transition into my new role as Executive Director.
I have witnessed the immeasurable strength, resilience, and intrinsic abilities of our students. Working hand in hand with an exceptional team of educators, therapists, and administrative and support staff, we have made significant strides in fostering an inclusive, nurturing, and vibrant environment for those we serve.
As the Executive Director, I am deeply committed to building on the strong foundation established at ALCA. My dedication and commitment to the students and their families will remain at the core of all that we do. ALCA’s mission to provide the highest standards of education, therapy, and support for individuals with autism will continue to guide our work.
To the families who trust ALCA with your loved ones, please know that your faith in us fuels our passion and motivates us to strive for excellence every day. Together, we will continue to create an environment where their unique strengths and capabilities are cherished and celebrated.
To the remarkable ALCA staff, your unwavering commitment to our students and families is truly awe-inspiring. I am privileged to work alongside such dedicated professionals who infuse love, compassion, and expertise into everything we do. Your continued dedication will be the cornerstone of our success as we navigate the future together.
To the community members, supporters, and friends, your partnership has been both overwhelmingly beautiful and instrumental in ALCA’s progress thus far. Your continued collaboration, enthusiasm, and generosity will be needed to be just as impactful in the years to come.
When my son was diagnosed with autism over 24 years ago, I had no idea how much he would teach me. I was unaware of all the wonderful, kind, compassionate, and generous people he would bring into my daughter and I’s life. I am so grateful to be part of the Alexander Leigh Center for Autism and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.

Pamela Yocius, Executive Director, Alexander Leigh Center for Autism
